This page helps you recognise fake vacancies, protect your account, and report fraud or security vulnerabilities. Projob.id is managed by PT Profesional Job Indonesia ("Projob.id", "we").

1Projob.id Never Charges Applicants

  • Searching and applying for jobs on Projob.id is free. Projob.id never charges application fees and never asks applicants for money on behalf of any company.
  • Employers and anyone acting on their behalf are prohibited from asking applicants for money or goods, including fees for tests, uniforms, training, medical checks, deposits, travel tickets, accommodation, or placement. See the Community Guidelines.
  • Projob.id's paid services — memberships, psychometric tests, and event tickets — are optional, do not decide whether your application is accepted, and are paid only through the official payment pages on our site. See the Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy.
  • Projob.id staff will never ask for your password, OTP code, PIN, or card details — not by phone, WhatsApp, email, or social media.

2Signs of a Fake Vacancy

Be careful if you see one or more of the following:

  • You are asked to transfer money for any reason — administration, registration, training, uniform, or medical fees, a "deposit", or tickets and hotels that will supposedly be reimbursed (the "travel agent" scam);
  • You are asked for an OTP code, PIN, password, a photo of your ATM card, or bank details, or asked to install an unknown app;
  • You are asked for your ID card, family card, or full personal details before any clear selection process;
  • The salary is unrealistic for easy work, or you are hired without an interview;
  • You are pressured to pay or decide immediately, for example "the quota closes today";
  • The recruiter can only be reached through a personal WhatsApp number or a free email address (such as gmail.com) while claiming to represent a large company, or uses a domain that looks similar to, but differs from, the company's official site;
  • The "vacancy" actually offers an investment, a multi-level marketing scheme, a loan, or "part-time work" completing paid tasks;
  • An overseas job offer gives no clear, officially licensed placement company, or asks you to hand over your travel documents.

3How to Verify a Vacancy and a Company

  • Check the website address. Our only official sites are projob.id and its subdomains (such as member.projob.id, employer.projob.id, partner.projob.id, and m.projob.id). Our automated emails come from addresses ending in @projob.id.
  • Verified Company badge. This badge appears on company pages and vacancy cards after our staff have checked the company's legal documents (tax ID, business licence, and deed of establishment). It shows that the documents were checked, but it is not a guarantee of everything the company does. Stay alert to the signs in Section 2.
  • Vacancy Check. Paste the text or upload an image of a vacancy you received outside Projob.id at /vacancy-check. Our system checks the phone numbers, email addresses, and company name in it, compares them with official career sites and registered companies, and rates it as looks legitimate, suspicious, or likely scam. The rating is assisted by artificial intelligence and is a guide, not a certainty.
  • Contact the company through its official channels — its official website or an office number listed in an official source — not through contact details given in a suspicious message.
  • Apply using the apply button on Projob.id or the official link shown on the vacancy page.

4If You Have Been Scammed

  1. Stop communicating and do not send any more money or information.
  2. Keep evidence: screenshots of conversations, phone numbers, email addresses, links, and proof of transfer.
  3. If you have transferred money or shared bank details, contact your bank or e-wallet provider immediately to request a block.
  4. If you shared a password or OTP code, change the password of your Projob.id account and of any other account using the same password right away.
  5. Report it to us (Section 5) and to the police. Report suspected human trafficking or forced labour to the police immediately.

5How to Report Fraud to Projob.id

  • A Report button is available on job seekers' public profiles and on company pages; you can report without signing in by giving your email address. Vacancies can be reported from the vacancy page after you sign in to your job seeker account.
  • Vacancy Check also lets you report a vacancy from outside Projob.id as a scam.
  • Support Form: send your report through the Projob Support Form with any evidence you have.
  • The reporter's identity is kept confidential and is not disclosed to the reported party. You can follow the reports you have sent from your account under My Reports.
  • Reports are reviewed under the Community Guidelines. Serious violations such as charging applicants and human trafficking can lead to immediate account suspension, and we may pass the evidence to law enforcement.

6Tips to Keep Your Account Safe

  • Use a long password (we recommend 12 characters or more) that you do not use for any other service.
  • Never share your password or verification codes with anyone, including people claiming to be Projob.id staff.
  • Make sure the address is projob.id or one of its subdomains before entering your password. If you sign in with Google, protect your Google account with 2-Step Verification.
  • Sign out after using a shared device or public computer.
  • Keep the email address and phone number on your account active so that you receive security notifications.
  • To protect accounts, we temporarily lock an account after several failed sign-in attempts and notify you by email. Changing or resetting your password signs your account out of other devices. If you receive a sign-in notice you do not recognise, change your password immediately and contact us.

7Reporting a Security Vulnerability

We value the help of security researchers. If you find a security vulnerability in a Projob.id service, please report it to us responsibly:

  • Submit the Projob Support Form with the subject "Security Report". Include a description of the issue, steps to reproduce it, its possible impact, the affected address or part of the service, and your contact details.
  • We acknowledge your report within 3 (three) working days and keep you updated on the fix.

While researching and reporting, we ask that you:

  • Do not access, modify, copy, or delete other people's data beyond what is strictly necessary to demonstrate the issue. If you accidentally see personal data, stop, do not keep it, and tell us;
  • Test only with accounts you own;
  • Do not carry out denial-of-service attacks, mass messaging, social engineering of our users or staff, or physical testing;
  • Do not publish or share the issue with others before we have fixed it, or before 90 (ninety) days from your report, whichever comes first, unless agreed otherwise;
  • Do not demand a reward as a condition for not publishing your findings.

We do not commit to paying rewards, but we may offer thanks or recognition for useful reports. We will not take legal action against researchers who act in good faith and follow the rules above, to the extent permitted by law.

8How We Protect the Service

  • Connections to our sites are encrypted (HTTPS), and passwords are stored using one-way hashing.
  • New vacancies are checked with the help of automated systems and staff before or after publication, and vacancies that break the rules can be taken down.
  • Uploaded files are checked for type and content.
  • If a personal data protection failure occurs, we notify affected users and the competent authority as required by the Personal Data Protection Law. See the Privacy Policy.
